Fire Officers Course

 Course Overview

The Fire Officers Course is designed for individuals who wish to act as fire officer at open cut or underground mines and includes the planning and preparing for work, fighting or containing fires and finalising operations.

It covers all the legislative requirements to MDG 1032.& CMHS Reg.45.

Mines Rescue Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers Technical knowledge for a Fire Officers Certification. This course is designed to the meet the needs of clients and other major stakeholders (participants).  

Qualification Information

Upon successful completion of the selected training, participants will be awarded the following:

• RIIERR201A Conduct Fire Team Operations as partial completion of RII30709 Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue

Vocational Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Fire Officers course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

• Fire Officer [Underground coal mine]
• Fire Officer [ Opencut ]
• Fire Team Member / Leader

Delivery Strategy

Mines Rescue offers this course over 4 days. The course structure is Face-to-face classroom based training, desktop scenarios and practical training exercises under the guidance a qualified trainer who holds relevant and up to date qualifications and extensive industry experience.
