Confined Space Training
Course Overview
Mines Rescue Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers Confined Space training at three different levels including an additional re-accreditation program and a non-accredited Confined Space Awareness program. Guidance material on Confined Spaces states that core competencies must be maintained and Re-Accreditation training should take place at appropriate intervals.
Our Confined Space courses are designed to the needs of clients and focus on gaining skills and knowledge to allow participants to enter & work safely in Confined Spaces.
The training takes into account all other competencies as laid out in Standards Australia AS2865 and includes Occupational Health & Safety requirements and all related documentation.
Confined Space Courses are offered as either public courses or for specific industries and may be conducted on the client’s site or at any of the four Mines Rescue Stations within NSW. The majority of these programs are accredited and aim at all levels of employees. Previous participants have come from a diverse context including Councils, Agriculture, Government, Shipping, Military, Aviation and Manufacturing sectors.
Qualification Information
Mines Rescue’s Confined Space training is conducted utilising units forming partial completion of:
- MSA30107 Certificate III in Process Manufacturing:
On completion of Training, the participants will receive a Statement of Attainment linked to the National Accreditation where appropriate.
Vocational Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Confined Space Course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:
- Confined space operator
- Confined space advisor
- Supervise confined space work
- Confined space standby person
- Plan confined space work
- Conduct confined space assessments
Delivery Strategy
Face-to-face classroom based training and extensive practical training scenarios in customised confined space training facilities will be under the guidance a qualified trainer who holds relevant and up to date qualifications and extensive industry experience.
